| | Sum 41 --- Pieces | ] | Ok I know it's already Tuesday and all this happened on Friday and Saturday, but I felt lazy and didnt wanna type.
This weekend Tasha, Mere and I went to Wayland Baptist University in Plainview to check out the school and rawk out. It is a 4.5 to 6 hr trip...boring boring boring. Nothing to see past Wichita Falls.
So me and Tasha left earlier and arrived in Plainview around 3...we got ready for dinner and the concert at her mom's hotel and then ate dinner and registered at the campus. We checked in to our host's dorm room and then left at 5:45 to go to the concert.
Now at first I was not too psyched about the concert. The bill was Tree63, Paul Colman (never heard his stuff) Building429 (which i have loved forever) and Claas P. jambor which i thought was a rapper. So basically I was going for B429. But it is free so you can't go wrong. We went to the merch table and bought B429 shirts and then sat down in the third row. Soon (well like, an hour later) Paul Colman, this short Australian guy comes out and with two of the guys of Tree63 announces that the lead singer of Tree was not there cause he was sick. Then this gorgeous long haired German guy with a guitar named Claas P. Jambor came out and did his set which was awesome. he rocked out with just his voice and a guitar...then Paul colman came out and we went to the front....ah it was PERFECT FOR A SHORT KID LIKE ME! Paul Colman was awesome...his band included the bassist from tree63 and claas so it was really rockin...he really surprised me cause i was thinkin this was gonna be like, KLTY stuff but it wasn't at all. Then the two guys from Tree63 came out and did "blessed be your name" with Paul on vocals and guitar. At the intermission they had this sign up for World Vision, their sponsor. World Vision is a company that sponsors little kids and their families in poverty stricken areas and gives them supplies and knowledge to live as well as medical aid and other things. they actually travel to the villages to teach the adults how to farm , dig wells, be a teacher, and all the other skills they need...they don't do it for them or just hand them money. So after bawling through the whole tape they showed, Tasha and I went to sponsor a beautiful little African girl named Ellah. She is so cute! She is 5 and lives in a AIDS infected village, but she is in good health. She does not attend school. it makes me want to cry everytime i think about it because i feel so selfish. I bitch when I don't get a CD at hastings or I don't have enough money to get something at the mall I want. These people don't even get to eat or be sheltered or drink clean water.
Okay so after the intermission Meredith showed up and we raced to the very front so we could see every inch of BUILDING 429. Okay so no one was there yet, but I had to be in the front so I could see. So they came on and the very talented and hot Jason Roy sang my favorite songs...and the band rocked so much harder than the cd. I think it made the slowest songs seem high energy. So after their amazing set we went outside to the merch table to meet the artists...and right there was a special bonus: Claas's cds for $20. Guess who didn't bring all her money to the concert but $20 and had the rest locked in the dorm? Dummy Daryl. So I felt sad for myself and claas cause I really wanted those cds...but I got a pic with him and he signed my ticket stub. Then I met tree63 and the bassist was really nice. they signed my stub too. On to Paul. He was so funny and sweet and I love his accent. I got my picture with him, and he's like, "Oh, just the right height." That pic is so good! Then after me and tasha chatted with Paul we ran over to B429's table and I bought a poster so they could sign it...I got a picture of jason, michael and scotty and all of their autographs and jason told me and tash that "our shirts looked good on us"...and earlier we almost mistakedly bought the Tree63 tees. Hah! So after an amazing concert we went to the late night breakfast and sat next to Paul colman's guitarist ryan (even though i don't think he knew we were there) and then we met our dorm host/RA Bethany. She was actually the one working the B429 table and was in our pic of the guys...small world. We talked to her for awhile and then went to bed. The next morning we had breakfast with Mere and then went to the bookstore...and the guy working there was on the rec team when i worked at Chaparral! hah. it is a small world even though I knew he went to WBU. We then went to this thing called "all about WBU" and they told us all about WBU. heh. Then we stayed there for the academic fair and blah blah blah. Then we went to chili's and our waitress was a Wayland student and she told us how great it was even though we knew it was already...and then we left...
Too bad we can't go back in two weeks to see the Battle of the Bands...SEVENTH DAY SLUMBER are judging and it's free so we would see all these great bands and get a free SDS concert!! Gah.
So yeah...I've got a great college choice and a place to go back to next year...lol...like I should be so serious about college right now anyways...I haven't even got my SAT scores yet! |

| | Mysterious Ways--tobyMAC | ] | Ok so it's spring break and everything...joy.
So Friday night Tasha and I went to the movies without Mat (who needs him?) and we watched Robots...it was pretty good.
Then on Saturday morning I took the SAT...it wasn't bad but it was so dragged out I thought I was gonna die. but the thing is it really wasn't drug out.
Then Saturday afternoon me and Mere went and saw The Pacifier. Vin Diesel is hot in a towel.
Sunday I did hardly anything because that's when I became sick.
Monday I went to the doctor, got some drugs, and went to Wal mart...also had an impromptu visit to my cousin's house where we proceeded to watch the X2004 music video dvd and talk about our dream husbands...and then we made fun of The Cross Movement's moves. they were sweet.
Today I started my South Beach Diet...lol. It's pretty easy. I had a boiled egg and cherry tomatoes for breakfast, and a baked chicken breast and a salad with lemon juice for lunch. I haven't drank anything but water...I'm doing good for the first 6 hours...lol. But of course Easter and Six Flags are coming up. Joy.
I'm just looking forward to seeing Hawk Nelson, tobyMAC, and Audio A. KJ 52 gonna be there too, but who cares about him without Jon Micah to sing "Are U Real?". |

Look inside See what you can find Will it all unfold
Shut the box That contains my heart Hide it for eternity Or at least until you come
Look inside Dig deeper this time Think, then let me know
I can't make it on my own It's all a lie Racing faster, don't forget this when I pass you by
Look inside Give me mine You let me down so
I'll let you know.
Hmm...that was the quickest thing I've ever written. No wonder it sucks. |

| | SOTY "Razorblades" | ] | Well, I haven't been up to much lately...just working on the Beta Skit and not really working but giving input to the Banner and doing FCCLA crap. I haven't got in trouble at all lately which is strange.
Last Saturday I went out to Meredith's for her and Bonnie's Birthday/Cookout. It was fun, but only Mere, Bon, Nolan, Steven, Tasha, Me, Tiffany, Nick, Tyler, Barry and Kelsey showed up. We roasted hot dogs and marshmellows and blew up soda cans in the fire, and then we watched Napoleon Dynamite because Tyler hadn't seen it yet. Also Topher Grace and The Killers were on SNL so I watched that when I got home.
We have this cheesy dance for our Beta skit...it's a dance to the song "Smile" by Vitamin C. But all of us have cute shirts but I wish I would have got a 98 Disease shirt becuz those were really awesome.
I got this iPAQ thingy for Christmas, it's like a palm pilot and an iPOD put together, it's like 300 bucks plus the $100 memory card to store all my song files...and IT'S ALREADY BROKE! I'm just kinda TO'ed about it. hee hee.
My birthday's coming up on February 4th. That's awesome. |

| | Something Corporate -- Constantine | ] | I haven't updated in what feels like 2 years...but it looks like no one else has either! I think my computer might be fixed...I've stayed online for 53 minutes in one sitting without dialing up again...I've scrolled the pages and my computer doesn't shut off. Great news. Not much has happen lately...just school and FCCLA officer stuff and the fake disaster trip at the speedway yesterday. That was a freakin' great day, even though it was really cold. I laughed at so much stuff that my stomach hurt. and I thought I might pee my pants and have to yell "CODE GRAY" for someone to get me some back up pants.
The Fall Retreat at Camp Chaparral is on Friday and i'm really excited since Chaparral is like, my second home. I also get my class ring on Friday, and all my parents can say is "You better not lose it!!"
I've already planned out what I want for Christmas. It's great. So far I have a 10 mile long list of CDs and DVDs cause pretty much that's all I want.
I have to practice my list just in case I find Santa.
1. iPod and money for iTunes...I'm pretty much guaranteed to get that, Dad said. 2. CDs..here's my top 20...yeah, I said 20 dammit. 1. Jay-Z vs. Linkin Park: Collision Course = Freakin' genius. 2. The Hives: Tyrannosaurus Hives = No American could top their sound. 3. Kids In The Way: Safe From The Losing Fight = "Phoenix With A Heartache" is my new favorite song. 4. Pillar: Where Do We Go From Here? = Pillar's killer anyways so why not get the latest cd? 5. My Chemical Romance = Awesome band so that equals equally awesome cd. 6. TobyMac: Welcome to Diverse City = This is the ONLY rapper I like besides Eminem. Maybe Bubba Sparxx on a bored day. 7. Senses Fail = Shoulda got this one a long time ago so it would be really cheap like I got a bunch of my other cds that are now $14 a piece...they're prolly too popular now for the $9 price. 8. Jeremy Camp: Stay = I have been close to buying this cd since August of last year. He's released, like 2 albums since then. 9. New Found Glory: Catalyst = I'm old school NFG fan and no clue why I haven't bought this yet. Oh yeah, it's all coming back to me now-NO MONEY! 10. The Used = Brilliant. Bert's hard to look at at times...but he's good to listen to. 11. Chevelle: This Kind of Thinking Will Do Us In = Great. Better be better than Wonder What's Next.
I also want The Wildboyz Season One DVD (I know for sure I'm getting the Viva La Bam one before Christmas) and Tony Hawk's Underground 2 game and some clothes and crap...but mostly money and cds. Like always. That's the way it's been since 3rd grade -- A list full of cds and asking for money. |

Your ideal Mike is the insane one. He has many weird ideas, he looks quite out of his mind, but you love just as he is.
Which Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park) do you love? brought to you by Quizilla
Why can I find a guy like Mike Shinoda? He's freakin' genius. I need a genius like him...I wonder if he has a little brother. |
